CANADA
REPORT
March, 2010
Greetings
to all the readers of Key Points. It has been some time since
our last Canada Report, for which I apologize. It is a little
late to wish you a happy New Year, however, perhaps better
late than never!
The
work in Canada continues to go very well with an average of
74 calls per month in 2009. Never enough, but we give thanks
for all who have called, for those who have obeyed the gospel
and all who are presently taking the Bible course, spending
time in study of God's word.
Three
items of good news to share:
First,
as you likely know, television time is the largest single
cost we face each year. Most every year we can expect an increase
in our contract cost. However, Vision and Grace TV have renewed
our contract through February, 2011, at the same price as
last year.
Secondly,
Key is now on radio in Canada. The church in Kenora, ON, is
presenting the programme on their local station, CJRL Radio,
at 7:30 each Sunday morning. Details of the local congregation
are given at the beginning of each broadcast to encourage
people to visit the services as well as take the Bible course
that is offered. Contact us if you are interested in using
Key in this way.
Thirdly,
"Anchored In The Word" is the first in a series of DVD Bible
studies we are producing. A second one, "How The Study the
Bible," is being edited, and a third, "The Problem of Sin
and its Remedy," was filmed on March 16. Each lesson is recorded
in three 30 minute segments. We have had many requests for
the first one and believe these studies can be very helpful
to individuals who desire to know the will of God better.
Recently,
while out walking my dog, I met a couple of ladies and a young
man walking on the opposite side of the street. One of the
ladies called to me and came across the street to talk. She
said she has been watching the programme for a while and really
enjoys it. She said, "The thing I like about the programme
is that you are teaching the truth." She went on to say she
was unhappy with "her church" and with a lot of what she had
seen on television because the teaching does not agree with
the Bible. She said she was looking for a church home and
was going to visit us soon. We look forward to her visit.
I
know that both Bret and I, along with all who support this
ministry, want the truth of God, and only the truth of God,
taught from week to week. Sowing the pure seed of God in the
hearts of mankind is what the programme continues to be about.
And that is why brethren everywhere need to pray for, promote
and support financially the Key To The Kingdom ministry. May
God bless each of you who support this work in prayer, promotion
and monetarily.
In
Christ,
Max
